Pumpkin Patch and Sever's Corn Maze

A weekend recap of our fall shenanigans!

On Friday Jim had a pretty light work day so he decided to take a vacation day. We had been planning to go to the pumpkin patch that night, but instead we got to go that afternoon!

Christian was really excited when we told him we were going to get pumpkins :)

He even enjoyed his hat change...

I was SO excited to get to take this little munchkin to sit in a pile of pumpkins! Seriously. I have dreamed about the day I would get to take this infamous picture of my own little one.

And is it just me or are these things like TEN TIMES more exciting to do with kids??
Even if they're still babies... ha ha!

We definitely took Christian to a fall party where he was the youngest one there...and WAY too young for all the games, face painting, pizza eating, and trick or treating!
Can't wait to try this event again in a few years!

So here we go!

Christian's Pumpkin Pictures!

The little stinker has started an arching his back phase and so even though he can completely sit up on his own, he is all slouchy in this picture and laughing at mommy trying to get him to stay sitting up...

Okay, so maybe the pumpkin patch was actually an apple orchard... But since we already visited an orchard in September, we called it our pumpkin patch trip! And we went to a real pumpkin patch to get our pumpkins. We got FOUR pumpkins for only $6!!!! Pretty sure last year we paid like $6 PER pumpkin.

Best.Deal.Ever.

On Saturday we had some little visitors.

And a very full back seat!

We picked up Zoe and Jaden on Saturday morning and headed to Sever's Corn Maze. This has become a yearly tradition.

The weather wasn't the best, though, so we were super bundled up!

One of the best parts of the corn maze is actually the corn pit! We all LOVE playing in the corn!

Christian loved it too!

Zoe even helped Christian make a "Corn Angel"

While we were in the middle of the corn maze Zoe started to not feel good so we quickly found our way out and back to the car...luckily we got back just in time because then it started to down pour!

Saturday night Jim worked in First Look at Hosanna and the kids and I got some hang out time while Christian got a good nap in.

First we played Uno.

Zoe and Baxter were a team.

And Jaden and I were a team.

Then we played play dough!

Check out all of Jaden's creations...lots of mini cupcakes!

Then we of course had to have a dance party!

Christian was excited to be done napping so he could join in on the dancing.

He loved dancing with Jaden!

And then we ended the night with some stories.

Life preview of having 3 kids...and a Baxter puppy.

Before heading to bed we found Baxter all snuggled up with Zoe and Jaden :)

Perfect end to a long day.

What are your fall traditions? What kind of pumpkin patch do you go to?
Do you go to a corn maze?

Labor Day at Aamodt's Apple Farm!

One of our favorite 'fall' activities is going to the Apple Orchard! And it just so happened that our favorite orchard was opened for all fall activities on Labor, so I think we've started a new tradition!

We hit the road at 9am and let Christian get a good nap in in the car and arrived at Aamodt's Apple Farm in Stillwater just after they opened at 10am on Monday. We got front row parking! How exciting!

We were also excited to break out the carrier and get some more use in! Christian loved being able to turn his head and see everything around him!

We didn't waste any time after we got to the orchard and went and purchased our apple picking bag right away!

My favorite apples are Honey Crisp Apples, but unfortunately those were not the apples available for picking. The ones we did get were very sweet, though!

An apple pair! :)

Hanging out under the apple tree

Like I said...somebody LOVED being in the carrier :) And getting to pick apples!

And see goats!

Daddy and Christian in their 'hoods'

They hayrides didn't start until 11am so Christian was getting a little sleepy...

We had a ton of fun and can't wait to go back again next year when Christian is older!

Hope you all had a great labor day!
